Moonbeam
[Picture here]
Pack: Lu'a VehoKessie from Quizilla
Rank: Pup sitter
Appearance: This she-wolf is long and lean, built on the frame of a runner instead of a fighter. Raven colored fur allows her to be swallowed into the night should she wish to disappear, with one exception, and that is a very small smudge of white that marks the females chin. She is an attractive wolf, not shockingly pretty or remarkably plain, but she has a pleasant face and form. One physical attribute that must be mentioned of Moonbeam is her eyes. She possesses large, expressive blue eyes that contrast beautifully with her dark fur.
A long full tail is usually carried in a relaxed state or at times in a curious wag. Small, almost dainty, feet carry her with soft and quiet steps from long, lean legs. She walks with a relaxed and laid back air, never appearing to be on guard or tense in her movements...even when she is.
The soft leather of her nose is formed on a narrow muzzle and set between those captivating eyes. She does have a slight tear on her left ear and a silver scar, about six inches long, on her left shoulder from an accident she suffered when she was rather young.
Personality: Upon first meeting Moonbeam, most wolves can tell she is a little shy but a very sweet wolf. She has a natural desire to try and make others at ease in her company. The initial shyness may take awhile for some to get past, but if they persist, she will open up and show them the kind and sweet she-wolf that she is. She isn't very partial to a fight but she will partake if it is something she strongly believes in or to protect someone she loves. She doesn't give her trust easily, affirming the fact she is a cautious female, especially of males. After one gets to know Moonbeam and has gained her trust, she becomes a little goofy and playful.
Another thing worth mentioning about her is that she is very adaptable in ways of being on her own or with a group. She loves her solitude, but she also likes very much to be in the company of good friends. Naive is not in her make-up what so ever, she questions nearly everything. Once badly hurt, Moonbeam rarely forgives, you can see this as a flaw or a worthy attribute. Even though she has a lot of love to give, Moon is very careful who she gives her trust too.
History: (10 full sentences in each area)Growing Up(birth and puppyhood)
She was born in a pack from the far north, a cold and dismal place. Despite the depressing atmosphere of the packs location, the wolves there were a close knit and content family unit. Pups born are always joyful arrivals and when Moonbeam and her two siblings were born, the night rang with happy howls and songs to the moon. She was the middle pup to be born, the only female in her litter. Her brothers, Silverstar and Dark Cloud, proved to be excellent brothers to her. Caring and protective, sometimes to a fault. However Moonbeam never let this spoil her disposition, she never gave much trouble to her mother or the pack.
Despite the care and love shown to her, there was one thing that always bothered her from her puppy hood onward.....she never knew her father. She knew his name, Vico, and that he still lived, but she never met him. Her mother, Camria, rarely spoke about him. When she did it was with very few words, usually it was to tell Moonbeam she looked just like him. Silverstar, her oldest brother, declared that he outright hated their father. The pack tried to reason with him on this as hatred was never really spoken of and was combated with teachings of unity. Dark Cloud never said anything about it vocally, except to Moonbeam herself. He didn't hate Vico like Silverstar, however he promised that he would make sure Moonbeam would stay safe from him or anyone like him. Moonbeam didn't hate him either, but is plagued by questions of why he left them. Was he ashamed? Why didn't he care about them?
Apart from this, the pups grew up in a happy, playful family. Their life was very secure and rather routine, like the lives of most pups. Moonbeam liked to run out to greet the returning wolves from the hunts, hoping to get any little morsel if food she could. Her treats were short lived as her brothers quickly caught on and used their size to beat her out of the tastiest bits.Becoming an Adult(1 to 2 years old)
When she was deemed old enough by her mother, Moonbeam was taken from her puppy-ish games and taught the important knowledge of treatments and medicine from her mother and another female in the pack, Topaz. Moonbeam enjoyed her training, she liked the idea of healing instead of fighting in case of wars between packs. She learned quickly how to tell the differences between helpful plants and their poisonous look-a-likes, which was sometimes proved rather tricky.
She did sometimes miss her rough housing and endless hours of play, but those times became less important as she grew older and delved deeper into her apprenticeship. She spent less time with her brothers as well, but still tried to make time to see them, especially Dark Cloud. Her mother would let her off every once in a while from all training for a day or two and this allowed Moonbeam and Dark Cloud to strengthen their brother/sister bond. Hunting together, racing, reaching back for a moment to those days when they didn't have a care in the world, only play time. Silverstar grew to be a very serious male and didn't care to join his siblings in their moments of blissful enjoyment. He was taken in for training as a head hunter for the pack and often would be gone for days with his teacher. Dark Cloud was chosen for a hunter as well, but not as prominent as his brother. It didn't bother him at all that Silverstar had a higher station than he was training for.
The life of these three wolves changed the day after Moonbeam turned two years of age.........Life Goes On(2 years to present day)
That day occurred when Moonbeam and her two teachers went out, as usual, for herbs and plants to expand Moonbeam knowledge. She strayed off on her own a little ways to find a plant her mother wished for her to identify. A terrifying shriek tore through the air, followed by a weak whimper, that whimper was the last sound ever issued by Camria. Moonbeam raced to her dead mothers side to face off a huge male mountain lion. Topaz urged the young wolfess to come away and run back to the safety of the pack. But Moonbeam was deaf to the healer's pleas. She lunged at the large cat and took hold of its throat, but not well enough to deliver a killing blow. She merely surprised it, a heavy fore-paw retaliated by swiping the dark form from its neck and slashing Moonbeam's shoulder. Scared and wounded, Moonbeam desperately tried to stand and renew her attacks on the cat, but her injuries slowed her down.
The gray form of Silverstar jumped over her and stood off the frenzied feline as someone else urged her up and helped to move her out of danger. Moonbeam was sick with fright and at first did not realize her brothers were trying to help her. Silverstar managed to hold off the cat enough for Dark Cloud to drag their crazed sister to a safer location.
A sharp pang of guilt stung Moonbeam straight to the heart. Unable to shake the dismal world she created within her mind, she struck out with Dark Cloud to hopefully a brighter future. She searched for relief from the pain she carries for her mothers murder. Dark Cloud traveled in her wake, praying to the Great Wolf she would find her answer.
Time passed and the two siblings decided to part their ways. Vowing to one day find each other again, but after they have found the true meaning of their existence.
Alone and in a way very lost within herself, Moonbeam had met up with wolves who bolstered up her confidence and taught her new ways of living in harmony with the earth and the wolves within it. She became part of the pack called the Lu'a Veho as a trusted puppy-sitter. She had at last found joy and meaning in her life, as she helped the new pups grow and learn themselves. She even became guardian of her best friends three youngsters: Tamaska, Osa and Windstar.
She had at one time even found a mate, Kurome, but he eventually disappeared and she no longer knows where he is or if he is still alive. She also learned of a bold and brass female who was her half-sister, Breeze.
Moonbeam's life has been eventful and at times very challenging but her patient and calm nature has carried her well over the years and continues to be a loving female.==========About You
